Logroño will host the first edition of Logroño Bike Kids on Sunday, May 17—a non-competitive, family-friendly activity integrated into the new La Rioja Bike Experience. The event will feature races on a closed circuit of nearly 500 meters for children aged 5 to 14, including refreshments.
To ensure a smooth and safe experience, staggered starts will be organized by age groups in a festive and secure environment within the event. Logroño Bike Kids fits perfectly with the spirit of the first edition of La Rioja Bike Experience (May 15–17), which combines UCI C2 competition, gravel, and social, gastronomic, and cultural activities to turn Logroño into a hub for family cycling.
Logroño Bike Kids promotes grassroots cycling and healthy habits in a fun atmosphere that will bring the paddock to life with challenges designed especially for younger participants. Same-day bib collection ensures a complete experience that brings generations together around cycling, reinforcing the event’s accessible nature.
The creation of Logroño Bike Kids embodies the core concept of La Rioja Bike Experience: making cycling an inclusive activity that goes beyond professional competition. This first edition enhances the project’s appeal by attracting entire families to the heart of La Rioja’s cycling festival. By offering a safe environment with specific road safety measures, it helps foster the next generation of MTB riders in La Rioja and positions the event as a leading family cycling festival at a national level.
