La Rioja Bike Race presented by Pirelli has come to an end in Logroño with a thrilling final day. The Finisher Stage, covering 49.64 kilometers and 1,105 meters of elevation gain, crowned Txell Figueras and Ever Alejandro Gómez as the overall winners after a stage packed with flow, pine forests, and legendary trails.
The third and final stage kicked off at 9:30 a.m. from the capital of La Rioja, heading towards the Moncalvillo mountain range. Riders tackled a steady climb on forest roads before reaching the heart of the mountains, where some of the race’s most spectacular trails awaited: “El Unicornio,” followed by the fast and technical descents of “El Ciervo,” “Galgo,” and “Arrieros.” A fast and technical route, perfect for the most skilled bikers.
From Pico del Águila, with its unbeatable panoramic views, the return to Logroño became a true celebration of pure mountain biking.
Ever Alejandro Gómez Díaz was the fastest in the third stage, clocking a time of 2:03:55, ahead of Axel Badia Celma (2:04:00) and Mario Sinués Micó (2:04:18). With this result, Gómez also claimed the overall men’s title with a total time of 6:20:13, narrowly beating Mario Sinués Micó (6:20:50) and Xavier Pijuan Porcel (6:20:52) in a very tight finish.
In the women’s category, Txell Figueras delivered a flawless performance, crossing the line in 2:34:47 ahead of Noemí Moreno Castañeda (2:37:23) and Cristina Morán Roza (2:37:54). Thanks to her dominance over all three stages, Figueras secured her fourth consecutive overall victory at La Rioja Bike Race, with a total time of 7:42:56. She was joined on the final podium by Noemí Moreno Castañeda (7:50:44) and Cristina Morán Roza (7:57:50).
With this third and final stage, the 11th edition of La Rioja Bike Race comes to a close after three days of pure MTB, unforgettable landscapes, and a spectacular cycling atmosphere that once again turned La Rioja into the mountain bike capital.
