Description:
The queen stage. Similar to that done in previous years, this time it offers more singletrack in its intermidiate part and doesn’t climb to Moncalvillo, being more leg burner. Fast track at its beginning parallel to the Iregua river until the first demanding slopes before Viguera are faced. It then enters one of the most emblematic stretches, the Roam road, a twisty and fun singletrack to Torrecilla de Cameros, the stage’s furthest point. It follows towards Nestares where the unprecedent section begins, singletracks and trails half way the sidehill which end and lead into La Regadera, a beautiful singletrack along a stream which sometimes demands to ride in the water in order to follow the best line. After this stretch, a meadow and a short and lovely beech forest is crossed, the route rapidly heads towards Logroño, this time avoiding the most difficult part of the Peña del Águila.
